Members create game rooms from the Bored Games app. The bot automatically creates a voice channel for the session, tracks who joins, and manages the entire game lifecycle — tracking scores and declaring winners.
The bot creates temporary voice channels for each game session, names them after the board game being played, and cleans them up automatically when the game ends.
Designate a text channel for the live scoreboard. It shows all active games across your server in real-time — who's playing, what game, how many spots are left. Updates every 60 seconds automatically.
Content posted through the Bored Games app is automatically filtered for offensive language, slurs, and spam before it ever reaches your server. Reports from players go straight to your designated moderation channel.
Game hosts can kick disruptive players mid-session via the app, without needing any special permissions in Discord — and kicked players are permanently blocked from rejoining that voice channel. Players rate each other with thumbs up/down after every game, building a karma score that the community can see. Bad actors lose karma and stand out. Your mods spend less time babysitting and more time playing.
Players can hit the SOS button during any game session to request a moderator instantly — a ping is sent directly to your moderation channel with the game room details. You'll also be notified when any of your server's members receive a caution or ban on the Bored Games platform, so you can decide how to handle it on your end.
Just run /bg setup and the bot walks you through everything — choose your scoreboard channel, voice channel category, and moderation channel. That's it. No config files, no dashboards.
